"In silico"

From Wikipedia
If the target host* of a phage therapy treatment is not an animal the term "biocontrol" (as in phage-mediated biocontrol of bacteria) is usually employed, rather than "phage therapy".

In silico
From:"Genomics,Proteomics and Clinical Bacteriology",N.Woodford and Alan P.Johnson

Phrase that emphasizes the fact that many molecular biologists spend increasing amounts of their time in front of a computer screen, generating hypotheses that can subsequently be tested and (hopefully) confirmed in the laboratory.

Phage Therapy is influenced by:

Phage therapy is influenced by:

Country : the epidemiological situation is different from country to country in terms of circulating bacteria and bacteriophages. Example: lytic phages from Italy may be no active on the same bacteria (genus and species) isolated from another country and vice versa.

1.PCR Method for Genotype Analysis of Mycobacterium ulcerans

From:
Identification and Characterization of IS2404 and IS2606:
Two Distinct Repeated Sequences for Detection of Mycobacterium ulcerans by PCR

TIMOTHY STINEAR, C. ROSS, JOHN K. DAVIES, LUI MARINO,ROY M. ROBINS-BROWNE, OPPEDISANO, AINA SIEVERS,AND PAUL D. R.

IS2404 was identified by complete sequencing of a previously described repetitive DNA segment from M. ulcerans. This element is 1,274 bp long, contains 12-bp inverted repeats and a
single open reading frame
(ORF) potentially encoding a protein of 327 amino acids (aa),and apparently generates 7-bp direct repeats upon transposition.”

By Mycobacterium ulcerans genome and using UGENE software it is possible to copy IS 2404 sequence.

By FastPCR software it is possible :

1 – to apply the WHO primers.

or

2- to apply the primers generated by FastPCR software.
