Soothill (1992) examined the efficacy of phages in treating experimental murine infections caused by
A. baumanii, P. aeruginosa, and S.aureus. The A. baumanii and P. aeruginosa-specific phages were isolated from sewage in Birmingham, United Kingdom, and the S.aureus-specific phage f-131 was obtained from the Hirszfeld Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy in Wroclaw, Poland.
